Electrons ripped screaming from water by the sun,
hurled into leaf-veins,
nailed to carbon,
sugar blazing with star-fire.

NAD⁺ starving ghost,
snatching charge,
swollen into NADH,
knuckles of thunder clenched.

Chain ablaze,
iron rungs exploding,
protons flung like storm surf,
turbine grinding, grinding,
ATP hammered from the black furnace.

Oxygen—silent blade,
executioner’s kiss,
last grave,
electrons collapsing into water,
the wound of light sealed shut.

Cycle unbroken:
leaf to lung,
sugar to spark,
breath to ash,
life devoured, reborn, devoured again.

Every mitochondrion roaring,
every instant a cathedral of fire,
every cell a shriek of cosmos:
